What is the difference between Cat A and Cat B?

Cat A (base building) normally covers what the landlord delivers: sprinklers, primary air-conditioning, the main switchboard and a level floor. Cat B (fit-out) is the tenant's own works: partitions, carpet, lighting, furniture and MEP connections. The exact boundary must be confirmed against the lease and the building's fit-out handbook before you sign.
